Global Coverage and Investment Banking (CIB) is the further step to reinforce the key role of Coverage to create more value for our clients and for the Bank. By strengthening the proximity between the Coverage teams and Investment Banking forces, CIB aims at strengthening our client-centric approach and boosting our performance.


Within the CIB department, a dedicated coverage team provides specialized expertise to all FI clients, supporting Banks, SSAs, Insurance companies, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds, and addressing their specific needs and requirements. To drive business growth and support the teams, the German CIB Financial Institutions department is looking for a

 

 

Senior Banker – Insurance (f/m/d)

 


Your mission:

 

A Senior Banker manages the major accounts of the bank. This role involves the development and expansion of lasting and profitable client relationships for the Bank, covering a dedicated portfolio of Insurance clients based in Germany and Austria to strengthen its position against competitors.

The Senior Banker therefore manages various aspects of the client relationships to maximize the bank’s share of available client portfolios across CACIBs various business lines.

 

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Bringing a strong understanding of the clients’ strategy, businesses and financial situation and ability to anticipate their needs for financial services
  • Demonstrating expertise in specificities, challenges and stakes linked to client industry or sector
  • Having the ability to map the clients’ internal organizations, to identify key decision makers (CEO, CFO, CIO, Group Treasurer etc.), to develop a strong relationship and to foster multi-products/ multi-countries connections between the Bank and the client (including its Asset Management arm)
  • Leading and coordinating the client teams and offering the best know-how to find appropriate solutions suited to their needs, and developing cross-selling at CACIB level and group level when appropriate
  • Sourcing profitable and high-quality financial mandates in line with CSP’s (business lines, geographies, sectors) and optimizing scarce resources of the Bank (RWA, Liquidity)
  • Maximizing volumes and profitability of investment and hedging flows given to our market teams
  • Fostering our credit distribution and liquidity collection
  • Understanding, anticipating and proactively managing risks associated with the activities of a Corporate and Investment Bank (incl. responsibility for counterparty risks, along with the corresponding business lines) while respecting compliance principles and internal rules, and making sure they are applied

Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten Distinctive management skill and commercial relationship sensitivity Ability to analyze and summarize while seeing the “big picture” Risk awareness as well as aptitude to manage urgency or crisis and to take initiatives Strong communication & interpersonal skills and capacity to lead and structure teams’ activities

Relevant postgraduate education in business administration, economics, finance or related


Sprachen Excellent language skills in German and English; French would be a plus
